"Bill: The Movie" premiered at the Fox Theatre on January 14 to a house packed with students from schools around the community, including Pueblo High School, Rose K-8, Hollinger K-8, McCorkle Middle School and Mission View Elementary, as well as community members and leaders. The movie featured the cast of the Lapan Theatre Troupe, the Hollinger mariachi "Los Perritos," and dancers directed by Christian Rios (a classmate of Bill) from his APX dance studio. Dignitaries met with Bill for photos on the second floor of the FOX in the community reception room. According to most accounts, there was hardly a dry eye in the building as the show concluded with a speech by Bill De La Rosa who updated those in attendance with the latest news of his mother's immigration status.
